Accessibility statement

ÅbenForms must be usable by everyone. This page shows how the citizen part of the solution meets the web accessibility requirements, and what is still missing.

What this statement covers

The citizen part of ÅbenForms on aabenforms.dk: the front page, the contact page, the cookie page, the demo overview and the self-service journeys. The requirements come from the Danish web accessibility act, implementing EU directive 2016/2102. The standard is EN 301 549, which refers to WCAG 2.1 level AA.

The caseworker and administration part is not covered. It has not been tested yet.

What has been tested

Automated testing with axe-core (WCAG 2.0 and 2.1, level A and AA), last run without errors on 11 October 2026:

  • the front page, the contact form and the cookie page
  • the address field, also operated with the keyboard only
  • a MitID-protected form in its login state
  • the demo overview and each demo journey along the way and at the end

Known gaps

  • The front page still has a few elements outside the design system (an animated badge, a glass effect and a dark code card). They are being reworked.
  • The caseworker and administration part has not been tested.
  • No manual test with a screen reader and magnification has been done.
  • The tests do not yet run automatically on every change, but before every release.
  • You are logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity, and you cannot yet extend the time or save a draft.

How we assessed it

Self-assessment, based on automated testing and a review of the components against the design system. The statement was prepared on 11 October 2026 and is updated with every release that changes the citizen part.
